Using left over Taco Farm’s corn tortillas
Our fresh daily tortillas are best enjoyed within 24 hours of purchase. After that, try some of these recipes for ideas of more delicious tortilla usages. The world is your taco!
Heat a pan over medium heat with your desired cooking oil. Add one left over tortilla and top with your favourite cheese, vegetables and protein. Top with another tortilla. Cook until bottom tortilla is crisp, then flip it and crisp the other.

Baked Tostadas (Flat Hard Shell Tacos)
Spread leftover tortillas in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Drizzle generously with oil and salt. Bake at 400°F until golden and crisp. Top with your favourite Taco ingredients!

Cut your leftover tortillas into quarters and separate any that may be stuck together
Fried: Heat a pot of cooking oil to 350°F. Carefully Add tortillas. Occasionally stir with slotted spoon to ensure even cooking. Fry until golden-brown, when chips are no longer soft. Scoop onto a paper towel and top with salt.
Baked: Spread tortillas onto a single layer on a baking sheet, not overcrowding the pan. Drizzle with oil and salt. Bake in a 400°F oven until all chips are crisp and brown.
Try it with our: Guacamole or any salsa
Preheat oven to 350°F. Layer leftover tortillas in an even layer on the bottom of a casserole dish. Layer with your desired cheeses, meats, beans, or sauces. Alternate layers until casserole dish is filled. Bake until the top is golden brown and it is cooked all the way through. Let stand for 5 minutes, then cut and serve!

Fried Tortilla Strips (Sweet or Savoury)
Cut leftover tortillas into strips, about a 10cm in width.
Sweet: Follow instructions for frying or baking chips, but top with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Perfect topping for ice creams, cakes, or any cold dessert.
Savoury: Follow instructions for frying or baking chips. Top with salt after cooking. Perfect crunchy topping for salads, or the beginning of your own homemade tortilla soup!
Heat your favourite vegetable or meat broth over medium high heat, until simmering. In a bowl, assemble your desired meats, cheeses, pickles, limes. Pour stock over top and place a generous pile of Fried Tortilla Strips on top. Modify ingredients in each bowl depending on each person’s preferences.

Mini Tortilla Pizzas
Top your tortilla with your favourite tomato, pesto, or cream sauce. Layer with your desired cheese, vegetables and meats. Bake on cookie sheet at 400°F until cheese is melted and tortilla is crisp. Perfect for build your own pizza parties, or late night munchies.
